Kahibah is a large residential suburb on the border of Glenrock Reserve.
Part of Lake Macquarie, Kahibah sits between Charlestown and Whitebridge. The suburb is a little under 10 kilometres from the ocean by road.
Kahibah was established in the late 1860s, when the Burwood Colliery, near Glenrock Lagoon, brought residents to the then privately owned land. The name Kahibah comes from the original custodians, the Awabakal people.
