The Leah Jay Story
In 1994 Leah Jay commenced her property management business as a sole trader in Hamilton.
At the time, the situation with real estate in Newcastle, as far as rentals were concerned, was a very different picture to what it is today. The interests of sales and rentals were often not the same; with sales always holding sway. This was the norm across real estate agencies in Newcastle, and indeed throughout Australia. Leah was inspired to build a service dedicated to property investors – a specialist property management service with superior levels of expertise, care and commitment. It was seen as a bold step at the time; Leah Jay was the first business in the country dedicated solely to property management – many said it wouldn’t work.
Today, with 3 offices services the Lake Macquarie, Newcastle and Hunter Regions and a team of 50+ that legacy lives on.
