Featuring brand-new homes in a planned family-oriented community, Chisholm is one of Maitland’s newer suburbs, founded in 2007.

It is primarily made up of two residential estates: Harvest and Waterford, with a third, Sophia Waters, currently in development.

Chisholm is one of the fastest-growing residential areas in the Maitland region. According to Census data, between 2011 and 2016, Chisholm’s population increased 694% (from 184 residents to 1461).

Why rent in

Entirely comprised of houses, most with four or more bedrooms, Chisholm is an ideal residential community for families.

In addition to two childcare centres, Chisholm is home to a Catholic primary school (St Aloysius) and high school (St Bede’s Catholic College). The closest public primary school is Thornton Public School (a five-minute drive), with Francis Greenway High School around 15 minutes away in Woodberry.

A neighbourhood centre complete with shops is planned for Chisholm, but in the meantime, a shopping centre is located in the neighbouring suburb of Thornton, and the newly refurbished Stockland Green Hills is a 10-minute drive away.
